Skilled - Recognised Graduate visa (subclass 476) allows recent engineering graduates of selected overseas educational institutions and any secondary applicants included in the visa application to live, work or study in Australia for up to 18 months.

You can be either in Australia or outside Australia when applying for this visa, but you must be outside Australia when the visa decision is made.

As a holder of this visa, you may accumulate points to apply for permanent residence in Australia.

Visa Requirments

There are certain requirements you must meet at the time you lodge your visa application, including:

• You must have completed an engineering degree or higher qualification from a specified institution within the past 2 years, and

• You must be under 31 years of age, and

• You must not have previously been the primary visa holder of a subclass 476 or 485 visa, and

• You must have achieved an overall score of at least 6 with a minimum score of 5 for each of the 4 parts in IELTS (or equivalent), Or

• You hold a valid passport from, and are a citizen of, one of the following countries - United Kindom (UK), Canada, New Zealand, United States of America (USA), Republic of Ireland
