South Australia Skilled Nomination Program Update

Update!

The Australian Government has allocated 3,800 skilled visa nomination places to South Australia for the 2024-25 program.

South Australia’s allocation consists of:

  • Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) – 3,000 places

  • Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491) – 800 places

Subclass 190 received a significant jump from the allocation last year with a 172% increase.  This is an additional 1,500 nomination places compared to the 2023-24 program year.

The submission window is currently close and is expected to open for submission in the coming weeks.

If you have just graduated or have a degree from overseas, it is advisable that you consider your skills assessment option as a first step. If you already have a positive migration skills assessment, you should start preparing necessary documents for ROI and EOI.
