Temporary Skill Shortage Visa (subclass 482)
14 May update!
The Government will reduce the work experience requirement for the Temporary Skill Shortage (subclass 482) visa from 2 years to 1 year for all applicants from 23 November 2024 onwards, with an unquantifiable increase in receipts and payments over four years from 2024–25.
You may also consider options like Training Visa (for which you need 1 year of relevant work experience).
Employer sponsored visa allocation also increased to 50% compared to that of last year and is highest in the last 5 years.
Government will focus more on Skilled Migrants who are working on their nominated occupation to have a streamlined PR pathway.
