 WESTERN AUSTRALIA DESIGNATED AREA MIGRATION AGREEMENT (DAMA)

DAMA (Designated Area Regional Migration)

​A Designated Area Migration Agreement (DAMA) is a formal agreement between the Australian Government and a regional, state or territory authority. It provides access to more overseas workers than the standard skilled migration program. DAMAs operate under an agreement-based framework, providing flexibility for regions to respond to their unique economic and labour market conditions.

 

For a DAMA generally the age limit is pushed up to 55 years old for jobs of skill categories 1-4 and 50 years old for category 5.

Existing DAMAs​
There are currently 12 DAMAs in place. Below is a list of those DAMAs with links to the respective DAR* websites that contain information on how to access each DAMA as well as which regions/locations/shires are covered:

  • Adelaide City Technology and Innovation Advancement, SA

  • East Kimberley, WA

  • Far North Queensland, QLD

  • Goulburn Valley, VIC

  • Great South Coast, VIC

  • Northern Territory, NT

  • Orana, NSW

  • Pilbara, WA

  • South Australia Regional, SA

  • South West, WA

  • The Goldfields, WA​​​​​

  • Townsville, QLD

The WA DAMA is introduced earlier this month and will be the 5th DAMA for WA, complementing the existing Goldfields, Kimberley, Pilbara and South West DAMAs. Migration Services is currently accepting Expressions of Interest (EOI) to access the WA DAMA.

  • Eligible Perth residents can now apply

  • Age Limit: 55 years

  • 219 occupations in the list starting from Trade to Services

  • In-demand courses starting from only $10,000 per year in Perth
